The aim of the Online Community Directory and database is to assist people who live, work or study in the City of Moreland to access community based organisations and groups.
The community groups or organisations that are listed in the directory:
are primarily not-for-profit or government organisations that provide services, information or activities that Moreland residents are eligible to join, participate in or have access to;
for-profit and commercial agencies where there is strong representation from not-for-profit organisations and groups in the same community service area, such as aged care, child care and kindergartens, education, and recreation and sports;
observe Victoria's Equal Opportunity Act 1995, the Federal Racial Discrimination Act 1975, Sex Discrimination Act 1984 or the Disability Discrimination Act 1992; and
only engage in non-discriminatory and legal activities.
Commercial organisations are included in the Moreland Online Business Directory.
The information provided in the community information database and directory may not be used for commercial purposes.
Although all due care is taken to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the information, Moreland City Council and its servants and agents are not responsible for the accuracy of the information or for any errors or omissions in the Community Information Database or Community Directory, however caused, or for any consequential loss or damage caused to third parties. Information is provided on the basis that all persons accessing the Community Directory undertake responsibility for assessing the relevance and accuracy of its content.
Inclusion of an organisation in the Community Information Database or Community Directory does not imply any endorsement of the organisation, its services or products, by Moreland City Council.

Using the 'Split Screen' option
|
|
The 'Split Screen' option enables 2 sets of data to be viewed at the one time (e.g. a list of matching entries and details of a selected entry). To turn this option on/off use 'Split On/Off' on the menu bar. 'Split On' is best suited to screens with a resolution of 800x600 or higher.

| Quick Search |
Enter one or more words to search for anywhere in an entry into the 'Search for' box, then click 'Quick Search'. Only entries that contain all words entered, in any order, will be found.
To facilitate data entry and cover multiple forms of the one word, only the first few characters of each word need be entered. To search for phrases (i.e. two or more words in a particular order) include the words in double quotes. In the case of phrases, all words (except the last) must be entered in full.
For example:
accom age
couns disab richmond
legal advice
financ
"bed and breakfast"

Click Directory on the menu bar to display the table of contents of the online Directory. Click a relevant section name to view the topics within that section. Click a topic to view a list of agencies associated with that topic. Details of an agency can then be viewed by clicking the agency name.

| Subject A-Z |
|
Click Subject A-Z on the menu bar to display the Subject A-Z index. Click a letter to list all subjects beginning with that letter, then click any subject listed to view details (in the same form as for Directory above). Alternatively, by entering text in the 'Search subjects for' box and clicking 'Subject Search', all subjects containing the text anywhere in the subject name will be listed. Any subject found can then be clicked to view its details.

| Agency A-Z |
|
Click Agency A-Z on the menu bar to display the Agency A-Z index. Click a letter to list all agency names beginning with that letter, then click any agency listed to view details. Alternatively, by entering text in the 'Search names for' box and clicking 'Name Search', all agencies containing the text anywhere in the name will be listed. Any agency name found can then be clicked to view its details.
